There are a lot of movements that are going on in todays world. Or at least it is easier to let people know about some and even reach people over a wide range of distance. A good site to see some of different movements that are going on today is on www.change.org/. As a veteran there is one that stood out to me big time. That movement is the “Fight For Those Who Fought For You.”

This social media movement is about “Veterans of the United States Armed Forces we call on the Veterans Health Administration (V.H.A.) to fully recognize cannabis as a viable treatment option, which is a far less toxic alternative to commonly prescribed pharmaceuticals(Legon).” It is about trying to have the V.H.A. look at their treatment plans and to look at other treatments such as cannabis. But, also trying to bring awareness to the “Leaders who are increasingly aware of the devastation to former military members (and their families) caused by inappropriate prescription of opiates, SSRIs, Benzodiazepines, and other pharmaceuticals(Legon).”
This social media movement has reached at this time 150,095 people who have signed the petition even to bring this awareness to the leaders. There are even groups on Facebook to support this cause. Even the petition has been shared on Facebook and even Twitter.
When it comes to the communities that are likely affecting this social change movement would be our veterans and even their families. A lot of time we are subjected to trails of new medications and even shots. Our health care needs to improve, and this movement is only a start. We see it all the time in the news and all over some of our social media pages about the treatment of our veterans and their healthcare. How many times has a veteran taken their life even at a Veteran Affairs treatment facility all because they where not heard or being treated.

If you would like to help veterans even like me and my fellow brothers and sisters please even support this cause. https://www.change.org/p/support-our-veterans?source_location=petitions_browse
